About Tanya
Hi! I've been working as a freelance creative for over 15 years. I got my start at advertising agencies designing ads, brands, packaging and whatever else you can imagine for international tech and fashion brands.
When I was expecting my third baby I just couldn't keep up with the stress and demands of working in advertising anymore, spending all my nights working to meet deadlines and taking care of the kids all day. It just wasn't working anymore.
So I quit and started filling a need I'd been seeing for years — creating photography for small businesses and their marketing needs. That's when WorkStory photography was born, nearly a decade ago.
I didn't have anyone to teach me how to do this. All the photography educators I knew were teaching wedding and portrait photography or big time commercial jobs. I had to make it up as I went.
I made all the mistakes. It took me years to develop my process and become the "go-to" for corporate and branding photography in my area. Now I charge thousands of dollars for my services and barely have to market myself because all my hard work has paid off.
I'm a present and "cool" mom. Not stressed or exhausted. I work on my terms, part time and making six figures!
